The false arguments of the supporters of suicide bombing

As Al Shabab start to use the desperate, haram method of suicide bombing more frequently in their attempt to repel the foreign invaders into Somalia, those that are given to emotions and false arguments here within Leicester have now started to advance arguments in support of Al Shabab’s use of this method and also promote this falsehood in some of the masajid in Leicester. This is a plot to try and deceive the Somali youth in particular and other youth that suicide bombing is an acceptable method of combat.

Below is some of the evidences that the advocates of  suicide bombing put forth and the respone to their doubts.

1.Verily, Allâh has purchased of the believers their lives and their properties; for the price that theirs shall be the Paradise. They fight in Allâh’s Cause, so they kill (others) and are killed. It is a promise in truth which is binding on Him in the Taurât (Torah) and the Injeel (Gospel) and the Qur’ân. And who is truer to his covenant than Allâh? Then rejoice in the bargain which you have concluded. That is the supreme success. (At-Tawbah 9:111)

Sheikh Salih al-fawzan explains this verse saying:

And he did not say “who killed themselves” but he did say “who have been killed”{i.e by others}. The one who is killed (by others) in the cause of Allaah is rewarded, and the one who kills himself is sinful so this is the distinction between the two! And nobody makes these meanings equal except somone who has been confused or somone who is ignorant.

Al- Bara bin Malik at the battle of Yamama

In this battle the Sahaba fought the army of Musaylama al-Khadhab until the army of Musaylama retreated and baricaded themselves behind a high walled fruit garden.

Al-Baraa was catapulted into the garden killing many and sustained many blows and injuries before eventually managing to open the gate. The muslims charged through the open gate and fought bitterly at close quarters until Musaylama was finally killed and victory attained.

As for Bara he was carried to Medina were his wounds were treated.

Al-Bara took a calculated risk when he plunged perilously behind enemy lines. His explicitly stated aim was to breach the enemy defences in what was a clear act of Iqtihaam and Inghimas (commando raid).

The risk paid off.  He opened the gate and the Muslims stormed through to victory.

Al-Bara neither intended his own death and nor did his actions necessitate it-unlike the case of the suicide bomber.Moreover.Al Bara actually survived the battle of Yamama and died a Martyr’s death years later in Tastar, Persia.

The Story of the people of the ditch

This story is also known as the Boy and the King and is recalled in the Tafseer of Sura al-Buruj.

This hadith is the same proof  al-Qaeda`s chief  ideologue, Ayman al-Zawahiri has publicaly used to encourage suicide bombing and this hadith was also used by the Saudi takferi cleric, Shaykh Sulayman bin Nasir al-Alwan. The radical preacher Anwar  al-Awlaki aslo took this an evidence for so-called Martydom operations, yet this hadith is the flimsiest of supports for such acts for the following reasons.

A. The past divine legislations is not legislation for The Shariah of Muhammed, peace be upon him.

B. The boy did not kill himself by his own hand. He merely chose his preferred method of execuction. Either way the King was committed on killing the boy, so in order to outwit the King and have the people believe in Allah, the boy told king he could only be killed by an arrow fired in Allaah’s holy name.

C. The certainty with which the boy knew he would die only by an arrow fired in Allaah’s name could not come to him except through divine inspiration.

D.The martydom of the righteous boy led to an immediate and everlasting as the people looking on embraced Islam.

Suicide bombings cannot boast anything even remotely approaching such a desirable out come.

(abridged from the book Martyrdom in Jihad versus Suicide Bombing by Abdur Rahman Mahdi)

The above are some of the more common arguments put forth by Takfiri/Jihadi supporters of al-Shabaab and other Khaariji supporters.

The Ulamaa of Islaam have refuted and lay futile their arguments.
