The great Salafee scholar from the Kibaar of Pakistan, Allamah Abdul-Mannan An-Noorpuri passes away

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

It has reached me that the great Salafee scholar from the Kibaar of Pakistan, our sheikh, Allamah Abdul-Mannan An-Noorpuri has passed away. May Allah grant him Jannah and forgive his sins for him.

He was the senior student of the Imam of his time in Hadeeth, Haafidh Gondalwee and the close companion of Allamah Rabee ibn Hadee al-Madhkhalee.

From his outstanding works was his Zawaaid of Irshaadul-Qaree Ilaa Naqdi-Faidul-Baree in Arabic, along with the Majmoo Fawaaid of Imam Gondalwee.

For those brothers and sisters that dont know about this book, it is a refutation of the great Muhadeeth of Deoband, Anwar Shah Kashmiri who wrote an explanation of Saheehul-Bukhari titled Faidul-Baree.

Alhamdulillah all four volumes that have been printed so far were published by myself. It is the Qadar of Allah, that the Sheikh did not live to finish the Zawaaid and this indeed is a great loss to the Ahlul-Hadeeth, but we hope to Allah that another Salafee scholar or student of knowledge will complete it.

Haafidh Imam Gondalwee himself gave a highly ranked Tazkiyyah to Allamah Abdul-Mannan. Allamah Abdul-Mannan Noorpuri speicalised in the teaching of Bukhari and the evidence for this is his introduction for the students of knowledge before reading Saheeh al-Bukhari known as Miraatul-Bukharee.

I have the transcript of Imam Haafidh Gondalwee with his own hand writing praising Allamah Abdul-Mannan when he summarized Irshaadul-Fuhool of Imam Shawkani to the extent that Imam Gondalwee said that Allamah Abdul-Mannan’s summarized edition should be included in the curriculum of all the Salafee Madaaris.

May Allah grant the sheikh jannah and all those scholars who dedicated their lives for defending and promoting the Sunnah, and refuting the people of Bidah.
