Supplication at the time of breaking fast

Supplication at the time of breaking fast
Taken from the book: Ithaaful anaam bi ahkaam wa masaa’il as siyaam (page 36-36)
There have come narrations from the Prophet (May the peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) regarding supplications at the time of breaking fast, but nothing from them are authentic. It has been narrated from him (May the peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) that he would say: “O Allaah, for you we have fasted, and upon your provision we break our fast, accept it from us, verily you are the all-hearer the all-knowing”. (Narrated by Ad-Daaraqutnee (٢/٥٨١), from the hadeeth of ‘Abdullaah bin ‘Abbaas may Allaah be pleased with him). And in its chain: ‘Abdulmalik bin Haroon bin ‘Antarah who narrates from his father and he is left (his narrations are not accepted) and his father is weak (in terms of narration).
At-Tabaraani also narrated it on the authority of Anas, as in (Al-Awsat/٥١6١) and in (As-sagheer/٢٥٢) with the wording: “O Allaah, for you I have fasted and upon your provision I break my fast”. And in its chain is Ismaa’eel bin ‘Amr and he is weak (in terms of narration) and Dawood Az-Zibriqaanee and his narrations are not taken.
There has come a narration from Abi Dawood (٢6١٥), from the hadeeth of Ibn Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him and his father) which is marfoo’ that he used to say: “The thirst has gone and the veins are quenched and the reward is confirmed if Allaah wills”. However this is also weak, as in its chain is Marwaan bin Saalim bin Muqni’ and his condition is unknown.
Benefit: The hadeeth: “Indeed the fasting person at the time of breaking his fast has a supplication which is not rejected”. Narrated by Ibn Maajah (٥٥١6) on the authority of ‘Abdullaah bin ‘Amr bin Al-‘Aas (may Allaah be pleased with him and his father) is not authentic because in its chain is Ishaaq bin ‘Ubaydullah bin Abi Muhaajir and he is unknown. And for this is hadeeth is another chain as narrated by At-Tayaalisee (٢٢3٢) and in its chain is Abu Muhammad al-Maleekee.
Al ‘Allaamah Al Albaani (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “I do not know him, and it is likely that he is ‘Abdurrahmaan bin Abi Bakr bin ‘Ubaydullaah bin Abi Mulaykah al Madani. If it is him, he is weak as is in (At – Tagreeb)”, rather An – Nasaaee said; “He is not reliable” and in another narration: “His narration is left”. End of his speech.
And indeed Al ‘Allaamah Al Albaani (may Allaah have mercy on him) declared him weak in (Al-Irwaa: ٢٢٥) And our Shaykh Al Waadi’ee (may Allaah have mercy on him) declared him weak in his commentary of (Tafseer Ibn Katheer) at the saying of Allaah the most high:
“And when My slaves ask you concerning Me, then I am indeed near. I respond to the invocations of the supplicant when he calls on Me. So let them obey Me and believe in Me, so that they may be led aright”. (Al Baqrah: 681)
However, it has been authenticated in Ibn Maajah (his sunan) from the hadeeth of Abi Hurairah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (May the peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There are three whose supplication is not rejected: the just ruler, the fasting person until he breaks his fast, and the supplication of the oppressed person: Allaah will raise it up under the clouds on the Day of Resurrection, and the gates of heaven will be opened for it, and He says: ‘By My Might, I shall certainly aid you, even if it be after a time”. And indeed our Shaykh authenticated it in (Al Jaami’ As Saheeh) (٢/١٩3)
