The Sunnan, Customs, Innovations and Disobediences on ‘Eid – Shaykh ‘Aasim al-Qaryooti (may Allaah preserve him)

The Sunnan, Customs, Innovations and Disobediences on ‘Eid – Shaykh ‘Aasim al-Qaryooti (may Allaah preserve him)
The Sunan, Customs, Innovations and Acts of Disobedience on ‘Eid

Shaykh ‘Aasim al-Qaryooti[1]

All praise is due to Allaah and may peace and salutations be upon the messenger of Allaah, upon his family, companions and whosoever takes him as patron.

Due to the drawing near of the happy occasion of ‘Eid al-Fitr, may Allaah grant it to us and the Muslims as a whole with happiness, dignity, goodness, blessing and brilliance, I remind my brothers, the Muslims, of a number of the customs and Sunan of ‘Eid, while highlighting some of the innovations and acts of disobedience that occur on it, and noting that Zakaat al-Fitr must be donated before the ‘Eid salaah. So I say, and with Allaah lays success:
The Sunan and Customs of ‘Eid

1) Making takbeer on the day of ‘Eid, starting from the beginning of night of ‘Eid and ending with the ‘Eid salaah. Allaah the Most High says { (He wants that you) must complete the same number (of days), and that you must magnify Allah [i.e. to say Takbeer] for having guided you so that you may be grateful to Him} [al-Baqarah: 185].

And the established formats in which the sahaabah made takbeer are:

الله أكبر الله أكبر الله أكبر كبيرا
Allaahu akbar; Allaahu akbar; Allaahu akbar kabeerun

And also:
الله أكبر الله أكبر لا إله إلا الله ، الله أكبر ولله الحمد
Allaahu akbar, allaahu akbar, laa illaaha ill Allaah, Allaahu akbar, wa lillahil hamd

And other than these, from the formats of takbeer, and additions to them that we heard in the masaajid of the world are not authentic.

2) Making ghusl on the day of ‘Eid and wearing one’s best clothes and fragrance.

3) Eating dates, or something else, before leaving the home for the ‘Eid salaah.

4) Reciting the takbeer aloud when going to the ‘Eid salaah.

5) Going to the ‘Eid musallah via one route and returning via another.

6) Praying the ‘Eid salaah in the musallah, as it is the Sunnah of the messenger of Allaah sall Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam but doing so in the masjid for a reason is permitted.

7) The attendance of women, infants and children, without exception – including the woman on her period, those of marrying age and those who are chaste, as has been reported in Saheeh Muslim.

8) Performing the ‘Eid salaah.

9) Listening to the Khutbah that is given after the prayer.

10) Greeting one another due to the fact that it is ‘Eid. On the authority of Jaabir Bin Nufair, who said the companions of the messenger of Allaah sall Allaahu ‘alayhi wa sallam used to say to one another when they met on Eid, ‘Taqqabal Allaahu minna wa minkum’ [May Allaah accept from us and you].
From the Innovations on the day of Eid

1) Increasing upon the established formats of takbeer that have been reported on the sahaabah.

2) Making takbeer in the masjid, or musallah, in congregation in the form that there are 2 factions, one makes takbeer and the other answers. This is an innovated method and what is required is that each individual makes takbeer but if their voices happen to be unison, there is no harm. As for the way in which it is done, where1 group makes takbeer and the other listens until it’s their turn, this is an innovation.

3) Visiting graves on the day of ‘Eid and offering sweets, wreaths and the like upon graves. All this is innovation. As for visiting graves, it is permissible without any specifying conditions.

4) The sending of greetings cards, as this is from the culture and customs of the Chirstians. And we heard our shaykh, the ‘allaamah al-Albaani, may Allaah encompass him with his mercy, noting this.
From the Acts of disobedience on the Day of ‘Eid:

1) Men beautifying themselves by shaving their beards – what is obligatory at all times is to leave them.

2) The shaking of hands of non-mahram men and women – this is from the haram acts and major sins.

3) And from impermissible excessiveness is the squandering of wealth on fireworks without any benefit. It would be better to spend this money on the poor, destitute and needy – and how many they are and how needy are they!

4) The spreading of gambling in some countries on the day of ‘Eid, especially among the young. And this is from the major sins, so it is upon the fathers to watch over their children and warn them from it.

May Allaah accept from us and you

Was salaam alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuhu

Deviations and words of Kufr of P J Zainul Abideen (PJ), Tamilnadu, India

IMPORTANT VIEW OF PJ & TNTJ WHICH DIFFER FROM AHLUS SUNNAH

1. P. Zainul Abideen (P.J) says that there are Mistakes in the Qur’an. And according to him, the Qur’an is preserved in the recitation only not in written form. For all this 1400 years, muslims have been using the written Quran with spelling and gramatical mistakes, though the recitation is correct and preserved.

2. P. Zainul Abideen (P.J) rejects 50 ahaadeeth from Saheehul Bukhari and Saheeh Muslim, saying that it contradicts the Quran. Later he rejected many saheeh hadeeth saying that it contradicts with sound logic and nature.

3. P. Zainul Abideen (P.J) says that only once Zakat given in a life time on a particular wealth is sufficient; and that one need not give Zakaath on it again every year.
4. P. Zainul Abideen (P.J) puts forward his view ahead of the understanding of the Sahaabaa, and thereby contradicts the methodology of the Ahlus Sunnah wal Jamaah. Also he condemns and defames the sahabah. Eg: He said about Umar (rali) that Umar (rali) had got “Confusion in belief” when he heard that the Prophet(S) died. He also had said that Amr bin Al Aas was “Criminal minded”. When people made this an issue and condemned him, he still said, ” If someone does the same act of Amr bin Al Ass, we will surely say he is Criminal minded. So what is wong in What I said?””
He puts forward the mistakes of Sahabah and claims that we can understand Quran and Sunnah, better than the sahabah. He says that the Salafees are doing taqleed of sahabah.

5. P. Zainul Abideen (P.J) denies Black Magic – Sihar, even if there are ahaadeeth found in Saheeh Bukhari and other books of hadeeth. He says that Sihr in Quran means “Trickery”. He challenges those who believe in Sihr ,to make Sihr upon him and prove that Sihr really exists.

6. He denies that Jinn can enter human beings. He rejects the hadeeth that support this view and makes taweel of Quran verses to suit his thoughts.

7. He recently, from 2010, suddenly said that he and his supporters discussed and came to a decision that “Evil Eye” is a superstition and belief in it is Shirk and Whoever believes EVil eye even after his explanation, are mushriks.

8. He claims recently that Belief in Sihr , is Shirk. And whoever believes that Sihr is more than trickery, even after getting his explanations, then he is a mushrik, and should not be prayed behind and should not be married.

9. He claims that Even if Bukhari, Muslim Imams believed in Sihr, they cannot be judged mushriks, as they did not get the explanation of PJ, as how it becomes shirk. If they had got his explanations and still belived in Sihr , then they would be mushriks also.

10. He made a translation of Quran and translated the verse “sihr” to “trickery” and fools around the common people who do not know arabic.

There are many more blunders of PJ, but I have just given the most deviated things.

Around 100,000 people of Tamilnadu, India, follow him as a great imam and think that His explanations are correct .

Note : In the early life of PJ, he studied islam in a deobandi school and then became a murtad denying the existance of Allah. Then later he accepted islam and started first preaching against Shirk and Bidah. Then he started all these above devient things.

The following is a letter made long ago from Tamil students of knowledge to the Mufti Aal Shiekh. Recently he has becomes more devient than the points mentioned in this letter.Mufti Aal Sheikh invited him to saudi. But he denyed coming to Saudi saying that he has some work to do. He claims to his people that Mufti actually called him as a cheif guest.

Editors Note:This post is particularly relevant to sri-lankan and tamil speaking community of Leicester as their are a hardcore of the followers of pj present in Leicester city.
They continue to promote him despite being advised and shown the severe errors of Zainul abideen. This bigoted following has caused a fitnah and a split within the sri-lankan community.
We ask Allaah the most high to guide these brothers and sisters back to his straight path. Ameen

Attending the Funeral of an Innovator in the Time of the Salaf!

Bismillaah Al-Hamdulillaah wa salatu wa salaamu ‘ala rasulullaah
Amma-ba’d
Shaikh Zayd bin Muhammad bin Haadee al-Madkhalee (hafidhahullaah) stated:

“When Bishr al-Mareesee died, not a single Sunni attended his janaazah – and this was alongside the fact that that the people of Sunnah were widespread in the land – except one man from Ahlus-Sunnah did attend, and he knew what Bishr al-Mareesee was upon from “Tajahhum”, i.e. denial of the punishment of the grave, denial of the intercession on the Day of Resurrection – however he only attended the funeral to make du’aa against him, not to make du’aa for him! So when Bishr was placed in his grave, this Sunni supplicated:

“O Allaah! If this servant of yours denied the Punishment of the Grave, then let him taste the Punishment of the Grave the likes of which no one from existence has ever tasted!

So when the people supplicated, he likewise continued to supplicate:

“O Allaah! If this servant of your denied the Intercession of the Day of Resurrection, then do not permit any of your servants to intercede for him.”

When he returned to his companions from Ahlus-Sunnah, they said to him, “You claim you are a person of Sunnah, yet you accompanied the funeral of Bishr?!” He responded, “Don’t be hasty until I inform you [of what I did].”

So he informed them regarding what he had done and said – they believed him and laughed after initially being annoyed and angry with him.”

See: Taareekh Baghdaad of al-Khateeb (7/22), Akhbaar adh-Dhiraaf wal-Mutamaajineen of Ibnul-Jawzee (p.70), from the book: at-Ta’leeq al-Mateen ‘ala Asl as-Sunnah wa I’tiqaad ad-Deen of the two Imaams ar-Raaziyain by al-’Allaamah Zaid bin Muhammad bin Haadeeal-Madkhalee, (p. 196)

Translators note:

My brothers and sisters: This is the treatment the Salaf used to mete out to the callers to bid’ah and misguidance! At the very least, they would stay away from them and avoid meeting them or being cordial with them, rather they would rebuke them and refute them! They would even rebuke the one who attended their funerals from the people of Sunnah. As for the Jama’aatus-Siyaasiyah of today – the hizbi groups who indulge in innovations and gather numbers in order to gain political influence and status – then their motto is: “We will be cordial with anyone who advances our political goals. Rather we shall invite them to us, and show them generosity and give them a platform in our Mosques to invite our congregation [to misguidance!]“ So beware of being beguiled by such people, even if they come in the guise of the Sunnah!
_______________________________________________________________
In Akhbaar adh-Dhiraaf wal-Mutamaajineen of Ibnul-Jawzee (p.70) it states:‘Uthmaan bin Sa’eed ad-Daarimee* said that a thiqah (i.e. trustworthy person) from our companions said:
When Bishr al-Mareesee died, no one from the people of Knowledge and Sunnah attended his funeral except for ‘Ubaid ash-Shooneezee. When he returned from the Janaazah they criticised and rebuked him. So he said:

“Wait, hold on until I inform you [of my reasons]! I did not attend the Janaazah hoping for reward in it, and I did not attend for the purpose of witnessing his Janaazah. When I stood in the row to pray I said: O Allaah! This slave of yours did not believe in seeing You in the Hereafter. O Allaah! Screen him from seeing your Face on the Day when the believers will see you. O Allaah! This slave of yours did not believe in the Punishment of the Grave. O Allaah! Punish him today in his grave with a punishment that you have not punished anyone with in all of the worlds. O Allaah! This slave of yours used to deny the Scales (Meezaan). O Allaah! Make light his scales [of good deeds] on the Day of Resurrection. O Allaah! This slave of yours used to deny the Intercession. O Allaah! Do do allow anyone from Your creation to intercede for him on the Day of Resurrection.”
“So they stopped rebuking him, and laughed!”

The Imaams On Following Hadeeth In Opposition To the Muqallids

The way of the salaf us-Saaliheen, ie the companions, the taabieen and the taba taabieen would be to just accept and follow the authentic hadeeth without questioning them or asking how. It was a case of hearing, obeying and following. The same methodology was employed by the great scholars in the generations after and the great Imaams.

You would not find them saying, oh let me think for a minute, or well maybe there maybe some other explanation etc etc, if the scholars and Imaams found a hadeeth to be authentic they just followed it. An example of this is

Imaam Abdullaah ibn Zubair al-Humaidee said,

“Imaam Shaafee one day narrated a hadeeth and so I said to him, “Do you take this hadeeth (ie accept it as evidence)?” So Imaam Shaafiee said, “Have you seen me coming out a church or synagogue? Or do you seem me wearing a waistcloth (girdle or waistband – a cloth which followers of other religions wear) that I hear the hadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah and I don’t accept it.” (Hilyatul-Awliyaa (9/106) and Manaaqib ash-Shaafiee (1/474) of Imaam Baihaqee)

So this shows when the Imaams would hear a hadeeth and it was authentic they would just adopt it and use it as evidence. Someone may argue this is in the context of accepting hadeeth in general, we would answer and say rather it is pertaining to accepting hadeeth in issues ie masaa’il as if the contrary was the case, the great Imaam Abdullaah ibn Zubair al-Humaidee would not have asked Imaam Shaafiee, do you take this hadeeth as he was talking to Imaam Shaafiee one of the great Imaams of Ahlus Sunnah, we don’t think he would denied hadeeth!!!!!

Furthermore Imaam Abdullaah ibn Zubair al-Humaidee a great scholar in his own right and one of the teachers of Imaam Bukhaari, asked Imaam Shaafiee if he took that particular hadeeth meaning if he utilized it as evidence and made Islamic shareeah deductions from it. Look at Imaam Shaafiees answer, instead of telling him the finer details he presented a great manhaj of the Muslim that we just accept the hadeeth. For us the current days Muslims Alhamdulillah the scholars of hadeeth spends their lives in verification.

Another example of this understanding was portrayed by other Imaams and Scholars of this great Ummah.

Imaam Ibn Khuzaimah said,

“Imaam Ahmad bin Nasr narrated a hadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah (Sallalahu Alayhee Wasallam). So I asked him, “Do you deduce evidence from this hadeeth (ie do you take it.) Imaam Ahmad bin Nasr said, “Do you see me wearing a waistband/girdl? So do not say to me if I take the hadeeth of the Messenger of Allaah (Sallalahu Alayhee Wasalam) or not! Rather say is this hadeeth authentic because when a hadeeth is established from the Messenger (Sallalahu Alayhee Wasalam) with an authentic chain then I accept it whether you wish to accept it or not.” (Dhamm Kalaam Waa Ahluh (2/178)

Dear readers look the manhaj of the madhabis, as soon as you mention an authentic hadeeth to them and you ask they why don’t you accept it when it is established to be authentic! You hear but our Imaam and our madhab does not accept it, or maybe there is an explanation, did our Imaam know more or do you etc etc.

We ask, so who is upon the madhab of the Salaf us or the madhabis? Our way is the way of the salaf, the companions, the taabieen, the taba taabieen, the great Imaams and those of the 4 well known madhabs all adopted this manhaj, the same manhaj as Ahlul hadeeth and the current say salafis.

The irony dear readers is that the muqallideen follow the basic fiqh but not the aqeedah or the manhaj of the Imaams and it seems okay for them to have the level of IJTIHAAD to chose between which school of thought of Aqeedah they can follow!!!!! We would like to know how they have deduced this?

Question:

What is the Islamic ruling regarding standing out of respect at the celebrating ceremony of his birthday?, with the belief that the soul of the Messenger of Allah, may the Salaah & Salaam of Allah descend upon him, is omnipresent and indeed attends these types of ceremonies, and also with the belief that the Messenger of Allah, may the Salaah & Salaam of Allah descend upon him, himself is always present in every place? If someone was to attend but did not believe such beliefs, what would be the ruling upon him?

Answer:

To stand and attend out of respect without the belief that the soul of the Messenger of Allah, may the Salaah & Salaam of Allah descend upon him, being omnipresent is an innovation in the Deen, and to believe that the Messenger of Allah, may the Salaah & Salaam of Allah descend upon him, is present in everyplace is polytheism. This is because the unique attribute of being omnipresent [His knowledge in every place] is unique and solely belongs to Allah, alone.

It must be understood and contemplated that if the remembrance of the Messenger of Allah, may the Salaah & Salaam of Allah descend upon him, is celebrated and commemorated at one hundred places at the exact same time, then how could the soul of the Messenger of Allah, may the Salaah & Salaam of Allah descend upon him, be able to attend all these gatherings? Also, how could his soul be special and present at each of these celebrations at the same time, and to that specific gathering alone?

The scholar, Qaadhee Shihaabud-Deen Dawlat-Aabaadee (d.849 AH) has stated in his book Tauhfatul-al-Qudhaat:

وما يفعله الجهال على رأس كل حول في شهر ربيع الأوّل ليس بشيء ويقومون عند ذكر مولده صلّى الله عليه وسلّم ويزعمون أن روحه صلّى الله عليه وسلّم يجيء فزعمهم باطل بل هذا الإعتقاد شرك وقد منع الأئمة الأربعة مثل هذا.

“And what some ignorant people do at the beginning of every year in the month of Rabiul-Awwal, that has no basis in the Deen, which is to stand at the remembrance ceremony of the birth of the Messenger of Allah, may the Salaah & Salaam of Allah descend upon him, allegedly believing that the soul of the Messenger of Allah, may the Salaah & Salaam of Allah descend upon him, attends, this belief of theirs is false and void, rather this belief is polytheism, and indeed the four Imams have prohibited and barred such beliefs.

The scholar, Qaadhee Naseerud-Deen (d.1031AH) has written in Tariqatus-Salaf

وقد أحدث بعض جهال المشايخ أموراً كثيرة لا نجد لها أثراً في كتاب ولا في سنة منها القيام عند ذكر ولادة سيد الأنام عليه التحية والسلام

“And some ignorant sheikhs have introduced into the Deen many issues and affairs which we find no evidence for in the book of Allah or in the Sunnah of the Messenger of Allah, may the Salaah & Salaam of Allah descend upon him. From amongst them is to stand at the remembrance of the birth of the leader of all human beings, may the Salaah & Salaam of Allah descend upon him.”

It has also been mentioned in Seerah-Shaamee (d.943 AH)

جرت عادة كثير من المحبين إذا سمعوا بذكر وضعه صلى الله عليه وسلّم أن يقوموا تعظيما له صلى الله عليه وسلّم وهذا القيام بدعة لا أصل لها.

“It has become the common practise of many who consider themselves to be amongst those who truly love the Messenger of Allah, may the Salaah & Salaam of Allah descend upon him, that if they listen to the remembrance of the birth of the Messenger of Allah, may the Salaah & Salaam of Allah descend upon him, they stand up out of respect for the Messenger of Allah, may the Salaah & Salaam of Allah descend upon him. This standing is an innovation in the Deen and has no basis in the Deen.”

The Reprehension On Using Innovative Names like Super Salafis

The Reprehension On Using Innovative Names like Super Salafis

By Abu Hibbaan & Abu Khuzaimah Ansaari

In recent times people have and are commonly using innovative terms like Super Salafis in order to abuse and belittle Ahlus Sunnah Wal Jama’ah. The usage of this term ‘Super Salafi’ has a questionable intent which does not extend beyond hatred and animosity for the way of the Salaf in its entirety. In recent times such words have developed from those quarters who dislike issues of Manhaj and most of the time get hot under the collar when names or personalities are mentioned.

Our aim here is not to look at the cause of such name calling but the implication of such innovative terms and how they resemble and fit the methodology of the people of innovation. Such quarters in order to denote their lack of understanding and sheer ignorance of issues of manhaj aptly label those who profess a proficient understanding as super Salafis thereby presenting themselves as normal Salafis and by default the super Salafis as those being extremists or isolated in their understanding.

Whereas in reality we find it is the total opposite, such individuals deny the permissibility, get hot under the collar and turn dark red at the earliest mention of the word Salafi and quickly utter their dislike for the word Salafi whilst concocting all sorts of excuses and rhetorical points. Such quarters in reality are unaware of issues of manhaj and question the way of the Salaf. Therefore know, that those who use the word super Salafi have a grave misunderstanding of manhaj and have a hidden agenda against the creed and manhaj of the Salaf us-Saaleh.

It is also very important to note here that those who adhere to the manhaj and the way of the Salaf have been foretold of people trying to harm them. So with regards to the point under discussion being called names is an element of being harmed or abused. In addition, it should be noted this name calling such, as the example we have highlighted is nothing new, such name calling and hurling abuse at Ahlus Sunnah, the Ahlul Hadeeth and the Salafis has existed from the times before and Alhamdulillah it never harmed us then let alone even harm us now InshaAllaah.

Imaam Laalikaa’ee reports in his book, ‘Sharh Usool Ei’tiqaad Ahlus Sunnah’ (1:180-181) that Imaam Abu Haatim ar-Raazee said,

“The sign of Ahlul Bida’h ie the people of innovation is to find faults in Ahlul Athar and the sign of the Zanaadiqah (heretical apostates) is that they label Ahlus Sunnah hashwiyyah.” (Ie those who like Allaahs attribute to the creation). Imaam Saboonee has mentioned something similar in Aqeedatus Salaf Wa Ashaabul Hadeeth as well as Imaam Abdur Rahmaan Ibn Abee Haatim in is Asal as-Sunnah from his father.

Imaam Ahmad ibn Sinan al-Qattan said,

“There is no innovator it (this) world except that he detests the Ahlu’l-Hadith (the People of Hadith). So when a man innovates (into the religion) the sweetness of the Hadith is removed from his heart.” (Sharf Ashaabul Hadeeth (pg.73) of Imaam Khateeb al-Baghdaadee and Imaam Dhahabee in his  2 books Tadhkiratul-Huffaadh (2:521) and in his as-Siyar A’laam an-Nabula (12:245)

So the people of innovation, Ilhaad and the Zanaadiqah have always labelled Ahlus Sunnah with various innovative names based on their dislike of their Aqeedah and manhaj over the centuries. Hanafee deobandees and bareilwees have throughout their colonial history hurled abuse at Ahlus Sunnah starting at the companions of the Messenger of Allaah (Sallalahu Alayhee Wasallam) down to Imaam Ibn Taymiyyah, Imaam Ibn Qayyim, Imaam Ibn Hazm and Imaam Shawkaanee. One deobandee went onto say they were all dogs. (Refer to Hasan Sunbhalees notes to Nadham al-Faraa’id Sharh Aqaa’id an-Nasafiyyah (pg.102) on Asharee and Matureedee creed.

The staunch bigoted madhabees in the last 3 centuries labelled Ahlus Sunnah at the pretence of the British as Wahhabis. The British empire especially the British Raj spread the usage of this term throughout their empire which they established through terrorist activities which even involved genocide. The innovators in the subcontinent used this term the most and even authored numerous books against the Aqeedah of Ahlus Sunnah.

They authored numerous books and pamphlets riddled with hatred for Ahlul Hadeeth and Ahlus Sunnah, they instructed all of their fellow madhabees to ban all Ahlul Hadeeth from praying in their mosques, issued all kinds of religious edicts in hatred for Ahlus Sunnah. They went beyond talking and were involved in physically harming the people of the Sunnah. They even went to the extent of destroying and burning the Masaajid of the Ahlul Hadeeth and their have even been recent cases in the last few years.

The misguided Soofee Asharee and Matureedees have also shown their level of participation and have said things that are beyond imagination. Here we are referring to the Majnoon Abu Haneefah ie the one mad about Abu Haneefah namely Zahid al-Kawtharee, who did not stop is vilification to any Imaam except that he cursed and abused them, calling Ahlus Sunnah as Mushriks. (Refer to his Maqalaat al-Kawtharee and Taneeb). Mr Sa’eed Ramadhaan al-Bootee went to author 2 books in his animosity for Ahlus Sunnah and called them La madhabiyeen and making his hatred for the Salafis and the Salaf us-Saaleh manifest.

In the subcontinent the emerging hanafees and madhabees propounded the concept that the Salafis and Ahlul Hadeeth were Ghair Muqallideen and so were out of the fold of Ahlus Sunnah. Therefore now you will find the term Wahhabi and Ghair Muqallideen being frequently used in the context of abuse towards the Salafis.

In the last decade such quarters based on their innovative principles coined numerous illegitimate terms and mocking the way of Ahlus Sunnah. For example labelling the Salafis as madhkhalees or the madhaakhilah and other such innovative terms. Paving the way for tamyee and brushing away the intricate issues of manhaj which the Salaf would adjoin to issues of great importance like Aqeedah and the Sunnah.

Allaamah Safaarini said,

“The madhab of the Salaf is the way upon which the companions, the taabieen, the Taba taabieen and the Imaams of the deen were upon, who have a high status and their positions are well established amongst the Ummah, their statements and actions are accepted amongst the people….” (Lawaam’e al-Anwaar (1:20), also refer to al-Aqaa’id as-Salafiyyah Bi Adillati al-Aqliyyah Wan-Naqliyyah (pg.11) and Qawaa’id al-Manhaj as-Salafee (pg.253).

So those who use this misguided and innovative term super Salafis, directly disparage the Salaf. The Salafis do not go beyond or fall short in following the Salaf in their Aqeedah, Sunnah and manhaj, in fact the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah have very rarely made distinctions between these terms and have freely interchanged their usage.

It is further treacherous by these Neo madhabees and Qutubis to even use the word super Salafi. We know by default that we are not allowed nor is it permissible for us to go beyond the way of the Salaf like the mutakallimeen mu’tazilah, Soofiyyah Ashaa’irah and Matureediyyah did. So in essence these khurafee misguided quarters using such terms shows us for sure, their animosity and hatred for the way of the Salaf and their Manhaj. Hence they deceptive disguise calling us super salafis because they know there is no way they can openly and freely align themselves to the way of the Salaf and their manhaj and yet have some animosity for this way.

Imaam Ibn Taymiyyah said their is no harm on the one to manifests his adherence to the madhab of the Salaf. (Majmoo’a al-Fatawaa (4:149) and he refers to those who manifest the Aqeedah of Allaah rising over his Throne as Salafis (Bayaan Talbees Jahmiyyah (1:122). At such times you will only find the people of innovation attacking the Aqeedah of the Salafis nor the usage of terms such as super Salafis as even the people of innovation in those times did not go down that route as they knew what it meant.

The fact of the matters is, the very same people and they come from various quarters and Allaah knows best, like the neo madhabees, Qutubis, modern day Khawaarij, takfiris and those who sympathise and push the ideology of ‘institutes’ and ‘academies’ have a great hatred and manifest dislike in using the term Salafi and this is apparent when you talk to them. It is nothing new to near them say, who used the word Salafi first, or the word Salafi has only been used in the last 50 years or so etc. This is not the time to address the usage or the permissibility of using the term Salafi but it is important to realise the very same people use innovative terms like super Salafis or even talafis in their hatred for the manhaj of the Salaf.

The great scholars of Ahlus Sunnah have used the word Salafi and Salafiyyah abundantly in their books but the people of desires and innovation intend to remain ignorant.

The great Allaamah Shaikh Abdur Rahmaan bin Yahyaa Mu’allimee al-Yamaanee has used the correct understanding of the word in his book ‘al-Qaa’id Ilaa Tasheeh al-Aqaa’id’ (refer to pages, 47, 51, 55 and 119).

As did the great scholar of Hadeeth the Muhaddith al-Allaamah Muhammad Naasir ud deen al-Albaanee in his numerous works, al-Mukhatasr al -Uluww (pg.122), at-Tawassul (pg.156) and Sharh Aqeedah at-Tahaawiyyah (pg.57) just to mention a few.

As did the great Alim and Allaamah Imaam Abdul Azeez Ibn Abdullaah Ibn Baaz in his monumental refutation of the Asharee Matureedee Tafseer of Muhammad Alee Saboonee in his erroneous explanations of the attributes of Allaah, titled, ‘Tanbeehaat Haamah Ala Ma’a Katabuhu Muhammad Alee as-Saboonee Fee Sifaat Allaah Azzuwajal’ (refer to pg.34-35)

The reality is, these people due to their ignorance of the sacred manhaj and lack of knowledge curse and abuse the Salafis by calling them super Salafis and we have also mentioned most of these people emanate from quarters who hate the word Salafi in any sense. It is imperative to refer to the books of the scholars to learn these points of manhaj and refrain from treading the path of Ahlul Bidah and calling Ahlus Sunnah names.

And Allaahs Aid and assistance is sought.
